A SURVEY OF ZOONOTIC PATHOGENS IN STRAY DOG IN IPOH

29 stray dogs in Ipoh were surveyed for zoonotic pathogens.There is many disease agents that can cause disease in multiple species of animals including humans. Dogs are reservoirs, carriers, and transmitters of several zoonotic  disease that are considered serious problems for humans. This study was conducted  to help the MBI to know the possible zoonotic diseases status from stray dog in Ipoh area which are they directly handle. Other than bacterial one more finding was ectoparasite which is Demodex canis, Rhiphicepalus sanguine, Ctenocephalides canis, Ancyslostoma, and Rhipicephalus microplus. One of the stray dog were positive for Strongyle
