Aflatoxin leads to the loss to livestock animal and poultry animals industry. Aflatoxin is a routine diagnostic in VRI. There are four main aflatoxins diagnosed in VRI which are Bl, 82, GI and G2. In this paper, the results of Aflatoxin detection were reviewed from 2007 to 2013. A total of 501 samples, mostly from poultry feed, were tested, whereby 10 were positive for aflatoxin B1. The method used to detect the aflatoxin in VRI is the Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC). However, for the past two consecutive years (2012-2013), all samples tested were negative and this can be attributed to good feed management and storage practices implemented in the animal feed mills.
