Giving animals a healthy, appropriate diet is crucial to ensure high-quality diets can be generated in the shortest time possible. Therefore, a complete food formulation is required to ensure the highest possible rate of livestock development with the finest possible nutritional input. Feed formulation for each livestock production system must take cost of resources and nutrient requirement into account in order to produce high-quality food. This study used Flutter which is an open-source UI software development kit to create a smartphone application. It is a popular UI framework for developing mobile applications by Google. The program will combine the expertise of animal nutritionists with availability, affordability and ease of use. It will generate mobile application in both Android and IOS operating systems, which are the most preferred mobile operating systems nowadays. This application will enable small-scale livestock farmers to maximize the nutritional value of their own feed mixtures and ensure that the livestock will receive enough necessary nutrients from the ingredients. The application comes with record of data and log history that makes it easy to recall their animal feed treatment. It is also integrated with national animal feed nutrition data that has been verified by Department of Veterinary Services laboratory. Most importantly, the application can be used in remote farm settings even without any internet connection. It will use local database and will synchronize in the presence of internet connection. It is hoped that by using this application, farmers would also become more conscious of the importance of sufficient feeds intake to their animal, furthermore helping to drive the development of the country’s livestock sector towards a more sustainable and competitive direction.
